Twenty One Pilots dropped a brilliant performance on the Canadian Tire Centre crowd in Ottawa this week. Between the music and the visuals, this was one hell of a show. I want to see them again soon!
My boys had been asking for months to come to this show. It was only 2 days before, that I told them we were going. They were so excited! It was great to be able to shoot the first 2 songs and then grab my seat and enjoy the rest of the show with my boys. They had a lot of fun. I know I did!
From the excellent lighting and stage background, the burning car, the B stage and singer Tyler Joseph leaving the stage multiple times to pop up elsewhere in the arena, there was no shortage of visual elements to keep the enthusiastic crowd engaged.
Another highlight of the show for me was that they played every single track off of their latest album Trench.
Opening up were Bear Hands, an indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY. They did a good job warming up the audience for Twenty One Pilots. I didn’t recall hearing their name before and figured they were completely new to me. However as they started to play the closing song to their set, their 2014 hit Giants, I recognized it instantly.
If Twenty One Pilots are rolling into a town near you soon, make sure you catch the show!
